Independent artists rarely get the luxury of a “brand” – most are stitching together a logo here, a t-shirt design there, without anything that actually holds together. So when Twivee came to us needing an identity built from the ground up, plus his very first piece of official merchandise, it was exactly the kind of brief we love: start with nothing, end with something an artist can genuinely build a career on.
Twivee is an independent rapper, singer, producer and mixing engineer championed by BBC Introducing – he’s set to make his fourth appearance on BBC Introducing Live Lounge on September 3rd in Brighton. He’s written music with award-winning production company Metrophonic, worked alongside Grammy Award-winning engineer Will Shapland, and works as a publishing and sync artist with Rod & Reel Entertainment. That track record puts him among the credible, rising artists we’ve partnered with on brand and merchandise design for musicians. You can hear his music on his official website.
Twivee’s sound is genre-blending – equal parts hip hop, RnB/soul and heavy electronic influence – and his brand needed to reflect that rather than default to generic “music merch” territory. He needed a brand new identity, built from scratch, and his first official piece of artist merchandise: a baseball cap that felt like genuine music merch, not band swag off a template.
Our in-house design team, led by Justin at Studio @ Click Collective, took Twivee’s identity from concept through to CAD and product design. The challenge was translating a raw, layered sound into a wearable brand mark – something that could sit on a cap and still feel like it belonged to the music. That mark became the foundation for the “I’m Good” cap.
Once the design was locked, the cap moved into physical production, manufactured to a professional standard and ready for real-world release as official artist merch. The finished product was then captured by photographer Marcus Maschwitz, showing off the craftsmanship and branding in full.
Twivee launched with a brand new visual identity and his first piece of official merchandise – a product that genuinely represents his artistry, and a brand and merch line he can keep building on as his career grows.
